# KaiCode

> KaiCode is an annual open source festival that rewards young and emerging
  GitHub repositories for the quality of their code and development processes.
  It started in 2015 and runs once a year.

Everybody is welcome to submit.
There is no fee, no invitation, and no shortlist of favored languages or
  ecosystems.
You submit a repository through a public form, our jury reviews it, and if it
  wins you receive a monetary reward and a laurel badge for your README file.

To enter, a repository must be hosted on GitHub, be larger than 4,000 SLOC, be
  older than 12 months and younger than 60 months since its first commit, and
  must not have won KaiCode before.
One GitHub user may submit only one project.
Jury members and festival organizers may not submit their own projects.

The jury judges clean code, design choices, coding conventions, static
  analysis, unit and integration testing, code coverage, requirements,
  documentation, Git branching, bug and issue tracking, code reviews,
  continuous integration, releases and semantic versioning, and licensing.
Popularity, programming language, license, and paradigm do not matter.

Rewards are given in three nominations: Perfect Product ($2,048), Excellent
  Product ($1,024), and Awesome Product ($512), paid in Bitcoin or ERC20 USDT.
